Children's Ministry
Nurturing our children in the faith.
Our Ministry
Our Children's Ministry is the foundational seedbed for the life of our congregation. We are deeply committed to the covenantal instruction of our children, following the rich catechetical tradition of the Gereformeerde Kerke.
Using materials developed by the GKSA, such as the ‘Kruis en dwars deur die Bybel’ workbooks, we guide our primary school children into a personal knowledge of Scripture.
Catechetical Foundation
Our focus is not merely on memorizing facts, but on nurturing a living faith — what the GKSA describes as bringing a child to ‘Kennis, Vertroue en Uitlewing’(Knowledge, Trust, and Living Out) of the faith.
Preparing for Youth
This early grounding is vital, as it prepares them for the challenges of youth and the active participation in the body of Christ that our Youth Ministry (RCYM) seeks to build upon. We pray that the seeds planted here will, by God's grace, lead them to a lifelong walk with the Lord.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
— Proverbs 22:6
